Pillard Flame Scanners can operate with UV, pyrometric and flickering detection according to the kind of burners and is suitable for all types of fuels (gas, fuel oil, coal, acid gas and lean gas), and all industries. The sensor measures the flame presence as the Ultra-Violet radiation (185 nm) emitted from the flame gets in touch with the gas integrated in the sensor. The signal of the flame presence is ensured with a patented mechanical self-checking device, fitted within the electronic unit.Pillard Flame Scanners are designed for continuous monitoring of flame presence, including a self-checking system to optimize the safety of the installation.
